With The Last Pink Glow, Rocking Horse Music Club interprets The Haunted Life, an unfinished novella by Jack Kerouac. Working closely with Jim Sampas, the Literary Executor of the Kerouac Estate, the band tells the story of three young men entering adulthood in the summer of 1941, as war ranges around the world, just before the USA is pulled into the conflagration. It is a tale of childhood innocence lost, the fraying of familial bonds, and the uncertainty brought about by war.

The album was written and recorded at Rocking Horse Studio throughout 2024, with additional recording at Abbey Road and Angel studios in London.

Unlike the band’s previous album, Circus of Wire Dolls, this album features only one special guest: Genesis legend Tony Banks, who co-wrote and performs on the song The Haunted Life.
